An Asset To The Community

Linda Eastman - Volunteer

“I was rowing with a competitive rowing club and doing some occasional volunteer work with RCIR. I learned my cancer had returned with a vengeance, and between treatment and surgeries, was no longer able to keep up with or commit to the demands of the other club.

I started rowing with RCiR because the coaches and other rowers are sensitive to the restrictions one might have. It is important to me to keep in shape for the health challenges I face. Rowing builds strength in the legs, arms, back, abs and brain without seeming like work - it’s fun.

The support, friendships and encouragement at RCIR are invaluable. Being out on the water is so relaxing and takes my mind off of the health challenges I am going through. What an asset to the rowing community.“
