“In a search for purpose, I didn’t have to look any further than where I spend my time with Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing (RCIR), where I share my passion for rowing with people who may never have been able to enjoy the healing benefits of being on the water if this organization wasn’t available.

Being a volunteer here is beyond purposeful. Watching people's smiles and experiencing improvements like the growth of confidence or the ability to row further down the Genesee brings great joy to me. It is a reminder of how important service to others is.

RCIR is a place that demonstrates the importance of diversity and inclusion and the benefits that community brings to all. I am honored to be part of it.”
